King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London is a prestigious international teaching hospital committed to achieving clinical excellence. The International & Private Patient Services within King’s has a 21 bedded multi-specialty private patient unit, dedicated to delivering the highest possible standards of care to patients from all over the world. The service has particular expertise in Liver Medicine, Neurosciences and Haematology. These are new posts to enhance the clinical management of patients in collaboration with the disease specific Trust teams, already in place.
Applicants can expect to gain significant expertise in Liver, Neurosciences and Haematology and each post will be allocated to one of these specialities one day per week, ensuring significant clinical and training exposure.

Expectations & Responsibilities:
Expected to work within their level of experience and competence as a member of the ward team and preferably have MRCP, MRCS or equivalent.
To provide medical cover, routine and emergency, during the hours of duty and work in conjunction with the other RMO’s and Trust teams to provide a seamless service.
To clerk in and assess admissions, order tests and discharge summaries as required when the relevant consultant is not available.
To undertake a daily ward round with a member of the nursing staff ensuring patients are visited where appropriate. To make an entry in the patient’s electronic patient record following ward rounds or any other patient examinations, communication or procedures in the absence of the consultant.
