Main duties of the job

Successful applicants will provide a vital and dynamic coding role within a high performing and supportive coding team with experienced coders possessing the Accredited Clinical Coding (ACC) qualification or equivalent experience within in a wide range of specialities.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • ACC** national qualification or equivalent experience
  • • Demonstrated medical terminology and anatomy knowledge

Experience

Desirable criteria
  • • 3 years Clinical Coding experience, minimum

Communication

Essential criteria
  • • Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills able to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams using various methods of communication

Personal and People Development

Essential criteria
  • • Ability to act as a lead coder for your specialities
  • • Ability to act as a mentor for trainee coders
  • • Demonstrated interest and motivation in position
