Operational Lead Psychological Therapy Service
NHS AfC: Band 8b
ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental and health care, innovation and improvement. So it is a very exciting time for you to come and work for us. Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
Job overview
This role is an exciting opportunity to lead an established team in a high performing service. Following the initial phase of Community Mental Health Framework for Adults and Older Adults (CMHF) the service has radically improved, offering a range of therapies to the Tower Hamlets residents, within the mandated timescales.
We are looking for an experienced leader to maintain the performance of the service whilst also addressing service inequalities and fully participating in the wider improvements being implemented in Tower Hamlets. As one of 12 national early adopter sites, East London Foundation Trust led the trialing of the CMHF programme, creating new pathways, services and supports to help people with mental health issues. We are now considering how to take that work further to reach more people and help people lead effective and meaningful lives.
We are looking for someone who can lead the team in developing the service model so that it meets the needs of the whole of the local population. Demand for psychological therapy continue to increase and we expect the this will increase further in the coming years. You will be able to ensure effective models of service delivery are developed and deployed to ensure the best use of resources to meet increasing demand.
