Senior Project Support Officer (PSO) - Shared EPR
Full time (37.5 hours per week) - Fixed term / secondment until 31st December 2027
The BSW Hospitals Group – Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH) and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT) – is delivering a shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across all three Trusts. This major digital transformation programme aims to improve quality and safety, enable more efficient working practices, and deliver a better experience for patients and staff.
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Programme Support Officer to play a central role in the delivery of the BSW EPR Programme for a fixed term / secondment of 18 months. Working across the organisations locations as required, the post holder will provide senior programme and project support across the partnership, coordinating activity, supporting governance and reporting, managing information, and acting as a key point of contact between organisations. This is a highly visible role requiring strong judgement, discretion and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders across multiple NHS organisations.
Main duties of the job
The Senior PSO role provides central support across the BSW EPR Programme, providing high-level project and programme coordination across the GWH, RUH and SFT.
Acting as the central team’s point of coordination, the post holder will support consistent and effective programme delivery across the Group in accordance with agreed quality, time and financial parameters.
Supporting the development and maintenance of the programme work plan, risk and issues frameworks, and governance documentation, the post holder will exercise independent judgement, in the management and escalation of programme risks and issues. The post holder will be responsible for the receipt, handling, and appropriate routing of highly sensitive, privileged, and commercially confidential programme information across all three organisations.
Working for our organisation

With a combined workforce of over 17, 600 colleagues, and budget of 1.6 billion the Group is united by a common purpose to deliver the best possible care to over 1 million people.
We are creating a health and care system that works with the people we care for, reducing the differences people currently face in access, experience and outcomes, improving the experience of our colleagues and tackling shared challenges like sustainability and finances. Every improvement we make across our Group will be guided by what creates the greatest benefit for our colleagues, our patients, our communities and our partners.
