Main duties of the job
- Undertake triage, brief assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Manage and prioritise a caseload, ensuring timely responses in line with clinical need and service standards.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to young people, families, carers and professionals
- Assess and respond to risk, including self-harm and suicidal ideation, seeking senior support and supervision when required.
- Deliver psychoeducational groups, workshops and training sessions for young people, parents and partner agencies.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and alongside education, social care and other partner organisations.
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and promote the wellbeing and safety of children and young people.
- Maintain accurate, high-quality electronic clinical records in accordance with Trust policies and professional standards.
- Participate in clinical, managerial and safeguarding supervision, team meetings and service development activities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, mandatory training and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential criteria
- Professional qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work with current professional registration.
Desirable criteria
- CAMHS experience

- Experience of working with children and young people – for newly qualified staff this could relate to placement experience
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting
