An exciting opportunity has arisen within Vascular Services for a professional Waiting List Coordinator to join our friendly and dynamic team.  Helping to provide a high quality and efficient admin service to our clinical teams.

Main duties of the job

JOB PURPOSE

To actively assist the Directorate in the efficient and effective management of the inpatient waiting lists in line with both national and local standards, ensure the workload is managed in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSEs at grades A-C including English and Maths or equivalent qualifications / experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent office-based experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of waiting list coordination
  • Experience of managing patient waiting time targets including 18 week RTT and cancer wait times
  • Experience of populating and coordinating a theatre list
  • Experience of working with Doctors and other clinical staff
  • An ability to work effectively with colleagues from a range of disciplines
  • Experience of developing and supporting change to improve a service
  • Determination and resilience of meeting objectives and deadlines
  • Experience of booking outpatient and surgery admissions
Desirable criteria
  • Clear understanding of NHS clinical and operational systems
  • Outline knowledge of other departments that make up SYRS
  • Understanding of relevant Trust Policies and ability to ensure compliance

  • Clear understanding of patient confidentiality
  • Experience of Lorenzo
Desirable criteria
  • IT Literacy with Microsoft office packages including Excel
