Job overview

As the paediatric performance manager you will be responsible for the performance and clinic management of all clinical paediatric pathways. You will be responsible for supporting and monitoring the RTT performance of all paediatric sub-specialties and working closely with service coordinators, clinicians, administrators and service leads to ensure compliance to national standards.

Main duties of the job

You will maintain a high standard of work and use analytical thinking and methods.  You will be responsible for accurate data capture, the continuous and effective validation of all 18 week referral to treatment (RTT) pathways. The post holder will

be expected to support the management of both Inpatient and Outpatient waiting lists.

As the performance manager you will be responsible for reviewing the department’s capacity and demand models and where necessary implement new clinics/sessions for all sub specialties. A key part of this role is to ensure that patient pathways are managed in a timely manner, within access timeframes, ensuring that patients are booked in to relevant clinics and sessions as appropriate with clinical guidance.

 The post holder will work closely with the relevant consultants, clinical team and other health professionals and management to ensure that patients are given appropriate appointments and receive a high quality service.
