Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Technician to join our Emergency Department at Ipswich Hospital. In autumn 2024 the Emergency Department are moving to a brand new, state of the art new building!
Clinical Support Technicians are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses and medical teams in providing high quality care to our patients.

As part of the role you will need excellent communication skills and the clinical skills required to undertake a number of procedures to facilitate patient care and treatments. This include but not limited to;
- Venepuncture
- Cannulation
- 12-lead ECGs
You must be able to work well in a team and be flexible according to the day to day needs of the service. You will be required to work a variety of shifts including weekends and nights.
Main duties of the job
- To safely manage the basic care needs of a defined group of patients
- To work effectively as a member of the ED multi-disciplinary team
- Able to work independently, under direction of the Nurse in Charg
