Occupational Therapist

Crowdys Hill School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our growing therapy department. We are a special needs school with over 300 pupils, with Complex Needs aged between 4-19 years and the majority of our students are diagnosed with ASC.

You will be in charge of your own caseload and supported by the Lead Therapist. You will be the only OT in the setting, but are looking to expand our team in the future. We currently employ three other therapists, and you will be working alongside them. The post holder is required to train members of staff in the school setting and should be a team-player.

The post is initially for three days a week during term-time and is flexible up to full-time.

We would welcome applications from Occupational Therapists keen to use or train in sensory integrations therapy in the future with support from the school.

For more information email Trudy Topp [email protected]
at the school.

In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998, jobholders should take reasonable care to ensure that personal data is not disclosed outside Council procedures, or use personal data held on others for their own purposes. In accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, ensure requests for non-personal information are dealt with in accordance with the Council’s written procedures.

To comply with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1998 (as amended by S147 of the Nationality and Immigration and Asylum Act 2002) all prospective employees will be required to supply evidence of eligibility to work in the UK. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Crowdys Hill School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the immigration act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).

Background checks and an enhanced DBS will be required.

Online checks will be carried out as part of the shortlisting process.

Visits to the school are highly recommended and encouraged.

Previous applicants need not apply.
