Trosolwg o'r swydd

We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced and appropriately qualified Psychological Practitioner to be the Psychological lead in the Regional Pathway Development Service (PDS).

Commissioning changes necessitated by the Integrated Care Pathways agenda mean that this is an exciting time to be joining the team. Provider collaboratives across the ICS have contributed towards a new specification for the service which the team have been delivering for the past year. As a result of the spec, the team have a renewed focus on enabling progressive, trauma informed journeys through secure care and to reduce length of stay within hospital for individuals who have attracted a primary diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’. You will be working with the team to continue to implement the new specification and to progress developments required by it. You will do this by ensuring the service is well connected and able to use critical networks of support throughout the region. You will also be focussed on ensuring effective service user co-production.

You will support the work of other teams, agencies and services across statutory and non-statutory sectors by providing advice and consultation and working alongside them to ensure that the pathways for individuals who have attracted a primary diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ are trauma informed, progressive and effective.  You will utilise your research skills for audit, policy, service development and research, and take the lead in identified service developments, proposing and implementing policy changes within this domain that may impact on other professions and services. You will participate in the delivery of training for others regarding aspects of working with personality disorder, and will supervise and provide line management support to health and social care professionals. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines and contribute to the systematic governance of psychological practice within the area.

You will have a good understanding of the specific pathway issues related to people with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ and will be able to demonstrate that you have a creative, confident and compassionate approach to working systemically in this area.

You will work to ensure the development of skills within the team to provide high quality consultation, training and review recommendation. You will be focussed on psychological safety within the team and on ensuring the resilience of a team working across a large geographical region with a number of stakeholders.
