Are you an experienced and confident administrator looking for a new challenge? Come and join us in our ‘CQC rated Outstanding’ Trust as an Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Administrator and valued member of the People Directorate. We need someone with excellent organisation and communication skills to support our Five Equality Staff Networks and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team. 

You should already have knowledge and experience of using a variety of software Microsoft Office programmes/packages, including PowerPointExcel and specifically Microsoft Teams. With the ability to set up virtual meetings and events and produce presentations to a high standard. You would also have knowledge and experience of managing diaries, taking meeting minutes and managing office systems to the highest standards. You’ll need to communicate professionally and effectively and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, both within BHFT and the organisations we work with. 

You will be joining an NHS Trust that, in the latest National Staff Survey, achieved top place from of all Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community Trusts across the country for staff recommending it as a place to work. The Trust was also most recently rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). 

In line with our home working policy, much of your time in this role will be based at home. 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  1. To work closely with the EDI Business Manager and support the day-to-day work of our five staff networks, the Head of Inclusion, OD and Organisational Experience and their team. 
  2. To be the central point of contact and maintain relationships for the five Equality staff networks, assisting them in the development and maintenance of their memberships and respective action/work plans as well as sharing initiates across the networks where appropriate. 
  3. Plan and arrange meetings and events which may be internal of external to the service, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made, such as virtual meetings, room bookings, refreshments, etc 
  4. Full diary management for the Head of Inclusion, OD and Organisational Experience and team meetings and where necessary. 
  5. Attend designated meetings where the information may be complex and sensitive, taking and transcribing minutes. Collate and distribute information prior to and after meetings in a timely way 
  6. Ensure the efficient and accurate recording of data on all electronic systems.
  7. Proactively address and conduct thorough checks of staff workplace adjustment requests and internal interpretation feedback, providing clear responses. 
  8. Type confidential correspondence, reports and other documentation to a high standard within agreed timescales. 
  9. Provide dedicated planning, coordination and administrative support to the five staff networks and the EDI team, as required, including diary management.

The  'must haves' for this role:

  1. NVQ 3 or above/GCSE equivalent qualification/experience.
  2. Knowledge and experience of using a variety of software Microsoft Office programme, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  3. Previous experience of working in a busy office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of administrative duties, including diary management and taking minutes.
