This exciting job is primarily aimed at developing the applicants curriculum vitae to enable onward application into higher surgical training. The research focus will be on participation in national vascular research studies by recruitment to trials. There will be the option of developing in-house research projects with supervision from academic vascular colleagues. The expectation is that research delivery is at the heart of this post, this will develop knowledge in the research fields within vascular surgery (James-Lind Alliance Priorities, national research frameworks and funding structures) and potentially stimulate the development of applicant-led research projects as part of the wider academic team. These responsibilities will lie alongside clinical commitments that include the on-call resident surgical officer/ Senior-House officer role in General Surgery and supporting the elective work of the Vascular Surgery team.

As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.

For an informal discussion and further information regarding the opportunity and Directorate, please contact: Mr Sandip Nandhra on 48533, or via email at [email protected]
