Christchurch Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic team. About the Role
As an Interventional Cardiologist, you will:
- Perform a range of interventional procedures, including elective and acute angioplasty and complex coronary interventions.
- Participate in the acute management of cardiovascular emergencies and complex cases.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary patient care, working closely with cardiothoracic surgery, radiology, and intensive care teams.
- Provide clinical leadership and training to junior doctors and allied health professionals.
- Engage in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in an on-call roster as part of a dedicated team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualification.
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a specialist in cardiology.
- Extensive experience in interventional cardiology, including proficiency in complex coronary interventions.
- A strong commitment to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and teamwork.
- A passion for innovation, research, and teaching.
