About you 

Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Anaesthetic Technicians. Positions are immediately available across New Zealand. 

Anaesthetic Technicians orOperating Department Practitioners are involved with all aspects of the delivery of a patient's perioperative anaesthetic care; they also play a key role in the emergency resuscitation of patients.  You'll find Anaesthetic Technicians in operating theatre suites but can be found in other areas of clinical practice including emergency departments, intensive care units (ICU) and day surgery clinics. 

Positions are available across New Zealand with immediate start dates, or you can speak with our recruitment team about your plans to move to New Zealand. 

Practitioners need to meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively.  For more information, please visit our Career site.

Salary and Benefits 

With 4 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays, you have time to explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities.  Along with your base salary you will have 20 hours per annum for Continuing Professional Development and will work alongside a multi-disciplinary and supportive team. 

 

  • Anaesthetic Technicians annual salaries range GBP £34K – £51K (NZ $77K - NZ $116K) plus allowances 
  • Designated Anaesthetic Technicians  (eg. Team Leader, Professional Advisor) annual salaries range GBP £49K – £67K (NZ $111K - NZ $151K) plus allowances 

Additional allowances are paid on top of base salary and vary due to location and service.
