Job overview

We are seeking enthusiastic, flexible, and committed individuals to join our team of ward receptionists in our surgical department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, gain valuable experience, and provide essential support to patients and medical staff.

Shift Availability

We have part-time hours available during weekday evenings and weekends, covering the following shifts:
•    It will be alternate weekends  Saturday and Sunday it  will be a 7.5 Hour Shifts
•    The rest of the week will be covering Annual Leave and Sickness when needed, Afternoons will be 15.00 to 20.00 Flexibility

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality reception services for the Trust, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and Customer Care, act as a first point of contact to patients, relatives or other members of the public. 

The post holder is expected to organize their workload in accordance with the demands of the Department.

To co-ordinate his/her activities to ensure efficiency of service within the organization. He/she should exercise initiative and it is vital that confidentiality is maintained at all times.

He/she cover other receptionists duties when applicable due to staff shortage/sickness/annual leave.

To provide full administrative and clerical support to the ward team and medical staff. To be a full member of the ward team, and assist in the smooth running of the ward. The role is to be agreed with the ward manager to meet the needs of the service.
