Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

Honours degree (1st or 2nd class) in Physical Science
Postgraduate MSc degree in Medical Physics or knowledge equivalent to the level of an MSc
HCPC-Registered Clinical Scientist

Experience/Knowledge

Desirable criteria

Practice as an MPE in a UK radiotherapy centre
Experience with SABR & RT imaging systems
Publication/presentation track record

We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
