We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Customer Engagement and Business Development, based in Sheffield. This pivotal role will see you leading a dedicated team to deliver expert NHS Procurement-focused customer engagement to procurement professionals in NHS Member and non-member and other public sector organisations

Main duties of the job

As the Head of Customer Engagement and Business Development, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing a comprehensive customer engagement and business development strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:

•    Leading a team of customer engagement and business development specialists.
•    Developing and implementing strategies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
•    Managing key customer and stakeholder relationships at all levels including ICS.
•    Driving continuous improvement in service delivery.
•    Being the face of NOECPC at events and in the media.
•    Collaborating with stakeholders including category procurement colleagues to identify and drive framework growth in spend under management.

•    An excellent communicator with strong leadership skills.
•    Extensive experience managing customer engagement and business development functions to NHS procurement professionals or a similar field.
•    Creative and innovative in developing business development strategies.
•    Organised, with exceptional attention to detail.
•    Passionate about contributing to the improvement of NHS services.

•    Reporting to Associate Director of Commercial Operations, the Head of Customer Engagement and Business Development is responsible for leading and managing the Customer Engagement and Business Development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services. 

•    This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction, managing key customer and stakeholder relationships, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. 

•    The post holder will develop and implement Business Development strategy. The post holder will work closely with other departments to ensure that Customer Engagement and Business Development fully integrated and aligned to organisation vision, goals and values.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent including Mathematics and English
  • Degree and Post Graduate Qualification (Level 7 or Masters)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstratable experience of Customer Engagement with NHS procurement professionals or equivalent experience
  • Experience of Business Development (Exceeding £££ growth targets).

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate flexibility and high standards of customer service when dealing with the senior team, the wider Commercial Operations Team and external/internal stakeholders and members.
