About the Role
Reporting to the Clinical Head of Radiology this role is for you if you enjoy a challenge and like working in an innovative environment of constant improvement where staff are valued for who they are and the skills they bring.
About the Team/Service/ Location
As one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest hospitals, they offer secondary-level (hospital and specialist) care and a selected range of community and domiciliary services for the population of South Auckland, one of the most culturally diverse areas of Aotearoa.
The hospital also provides niche specialist tertiary services for regional and national consumers in orthopaedic and plastic surgery, burns, spinal injury rehabilitation, renal dialysis, and neonatal intensive care. As an accredited teaching hospital of Auckland University and University of Otago catering for most medical and surgical specialties the hospital covers a catchment area of around 600,000 people. They are looking for full time Radiologists to join their friendly team which comprises more than 45 Radiologists, supported by over 170 staff, including Registrars, Sonographers, Radiographers, Nurses, RIS-PACS and administrative support staff.
Performing over 225,000 procedures a year the Radiology Department is growing rapidly and will be opening a large new state of the art department within the next 24 months.
About you
As a Diagnostic and/or Interventional Radiologist, you should either be registered or eligible for vocational registration within this scope with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Current APC or ability to be awarded one.
- Enthusiastic and ready for an adventure to the South Pacific
- Great interpersonal skills and high level problem solving
- Good time management and attention to detail
- A flexible attitude
