We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our team at the Dova Unit, Dane Garth, Furness General Hospital. Our mental health services are designed to meet the holistic needs of service users, patients, and carers, while fostering a supportive environment for staff development and wellbeing.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care within our 20-bedded mixed sex inpatient unit. You will work as an integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), providing care and support to patients with a range of mental health needs, some of whom may present with challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively within the MDT, supporting patients according to their individual care plans on a rotational shift system.
- Contribute to the ongoing support of patients and their carers, promoting dignity, respect, and recovery.
- Assist in the protection of patients from abuse, following safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Help maintain the health, safety, and security of patients and their environment.
- Accurately obtain, transmit, and store information relating to the delivery of care services.
