We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Assistants to join our Imaging team at Charing Cross Hospital.

You will rotate through different areas of the department working together with the radiographers, nurses and doctors to help deliver a high quality patient focused service. This role requires a flexible approach to work. In helping to delivery our service this role will involve evening and weekend working within contracted hours on a rotational basis. 

Charing Cross Hospital offers a comprehensive range of procedures over all modalities with both clinical and research work being undertaken. As part of the first Academic Health Science Centre, our aim is to provide world-class healthcare to our patients through excellence in research, education and training.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • Assist with patient care whilst supporting the Professional team
  • Identify patients correctly using departmental Protocols and Procedures
  • Receive patients into the department and prepare them for their examination
  • To have a clear understanding of all procedures carried out within the Ultrasound Unit and the preparation required prior to the examination
  • Provide support and information to patients, carers and relatives where appropriate
  • Escort patients to the toilet as required
  • Support the radiographic and radiological staff when undertaking procedures and chaperone during intimate examinations as appropriate
  • Use equipment and accessories appropriately.
  • Ensure all patient appointments are kept to time to aid in the smooth running of the unit
  • Care for bed bound patients awaiting their examination within the Imaging department.
