Finance Manager
Due to growth within the business an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department, and we are looking for a Finance Manager.
The Finance department forms part of the Central Function Department, and consists of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Reporting, Payroll, and supporting departments financial performance.
This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer; you will be working in a small team.
In this role you will be an integral part of a team, who is accountable for your actions and omissions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Hospital’s Patient and Procedure - Level Costing System and Service Line Reporting (SLR) tools
- Provision and development of reports designed to communicate SLR information to operational managers, clinicians
- Manage and working continuously to improve the quality and accuracy of the finance data and processes
- Develop reports from benchmarking tools and review financial pricing against peers to identify areas where efficiency improvements can be made
- Work closely with insurers to review pricing and contracts
- Analyse detailed patient-level costing information and actively support finance colleagues, operational managers, and clinicians in understanding and interpreting the results to drive informed decisions
- Manage the successful processing, maintaining, and updating of patient level costing system
- Various systems insight to include Meddbase, Xero, ApprovalMax
- Supporting wider management with adhoc tasks including occasional meetings with key suppliers and/or consultants
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- Worked within the private healthcare industry (preferable)
- Experience of having worked in a senior role
- Full or Part qualified member of CCAB body or equivalent
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification
- Detailed understanding of NHS Finance regime (essential)
- Production of annual NHS Reference Costs or Training Costs submission (desirable)
- Experience of the production, analysis, and presentation of complex financial information (desirable)
- Working knowledge of PLICs, Costing systems and the Costing Transformation Programme (essential)
- Knowledge of SQL (desirable)
- Advanced user of IT packages including all Microsoft office packages
- Ability to explain complex financial data effectively to non-finance staff members
