About you
Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Anaesthetists (Senior Medical Officers) who want to make a positive impact while working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and supportive team. We are looking for Anaesthetists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients. Positions include covering planned and acute care theatre sessions, after-hours on-call support and pre-assessment clinics. Our Anaesthetists support other departments, including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, dental, mental health, and the emergency department, meaning no two days are the same.
To work as an Anaesthetist (Senior Medical Officer) in New Zealand, you must become registered to practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Practitioners must meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively. Salary and benefits
Senior Medical Officers receive 6 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays, giving you time to explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities. Along with your base salary as a Senior Medical Officer, you will have an annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance of £6.9K GBP NZD (pro-rated for part-time employees), reimbursement of your registration and practising certificate fees and your professional indemnity insurance is covered by Health New Zealand.
