Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced candidate to provide line management to a team of secretaries, administration staff and receptionists in our CRISS service. The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated, positive, and able to work under pressure, often managing conflicting demands on their time, as well as meeting tight deadlines. The support service team is a small, friendly but busy team and, if you are successful, you will be expected to be a key player in its day-to-day running. We need someone with excellent secretarial and managerial skills who is adept at dealing with the challenges thrown up by supervising a group of staff.
Main duties of the job
You must be willing to work flexibly within a challenging environment and be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication, inter-personal and administration skills. Responsibilities include supervision of band 2 and 3 staff, planning shift rotas, minute taking of complex meetings, audio typing, diary management, organisation and coordination of meetings. You will have good IT skills with experience of MS word, excel and power point. The successful post holder will also be expected to provide cover for colleagues at short notice if required.
