West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

In order to continue to deliver excellent care and treatment to our service users, we are seeking a skilled DBT therapist who is passionate about DBT and enjoys working with clients who struggle to regulate their emotions, behaviours and relationships. The successful candidate will join our Mental Health Integrated Network Team (MINT) in Ealing.
MINT is a multidisciplinary service providing holistic support and treatment to adults presenting with a range of mental health difficulties within a stepped-care framework. We have an established psychology team which is well integrated and highly valued in the service.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the running of the DBT Programme in collaboration with the DBT Lead. The service delivers a comprehensive DBT programme, consisting of individual therapy, skills training groups, weekly consultation team meetings, and phone coaching. The post holder will be delivering therapy to a client group who struggle with self-harm and suicidal behaviours, so the work can be challenging but also deeply rewarding. The successful applicant will be joining our supportive psychology team and DBT consult team.
This post also involves embedding and developing psychological principles and thinking within the work of the whole MDT. Therefore, we require a candidate who thrives in a team environment and is passionate about dissemination of psychological thinking and consultation.

You will provide a specialist DBT service to clients with Borderline/Emotionally-Unstable Personality Disorder (BPD/EUPD) and comorbid difficulties associated with underlying emotional dysregulation.
The job will involve delivering comprehensive DBT (individual DBT sessions, DBT skills training group sessions, DBT telephone skills coaching and attending weekly DBT Team Consult meetings.
It will also involve conducting specialist assessments and monitoring of clinical outcomes, and plan and deliver training or teaching as needed. The post holder will also be required to contribute to service evaluation, audit and research.
The successful candidate will be committed to working collaboratively with service users and colleagues to create a psychologically safe environment that enables the delivery of effective treatment. You will provide psychological consultation and guidance to the whole MDT and so a genuine desire to work within an MDT and promote psychological ways of working is essential.

- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, or post graduate training in another core mental health profession (social work, nursing, occupational therapy) and accredited with SfDBT.
- Post graduate diploma or higher degree in DBT.

- Experience of the application of psychology/therapy in different cultural contexts.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and providing case consultation to colleagues from other disciplines and using psychological formulation as a framework for bringing a psychological understanding of need.
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
