ADHD and Autism Assessors (Psychologists)
We are seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologists or Educational Psychologist to join our neurodevelopmental assessment service delivering adult and child ADHD, autism, and combined ADHD/autism diagnostic assessments.
Hours
Full-time employment is preferred, though we can also offer part-time (minimum of 3 days per week).
Key Responsibilities

Conduct high-quality adult ADHD diagnostic assessments in line with NICE guidance and relevant professional standards

Conduct adult autism assessments
-
Conduct child adhd and autism assessments (preferred but will consider candidates without)

Complete clear, evidence-based diagnostic reports within agreed timeframes
-
Deliver structured feedback sessions and recommendations following assessment

Work within established clinical pathways, templates, and governance processes
-
Participate in clinical supervision, peer review, and quality assurance activities
-
Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with data protection and safeguarding requirements

Collaborate with admin and operations teams to ensure a smooth patient journey
Essential Requirements
-
HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist or Educational Psychologist (with relevant training)

Demonstrable experience conducting adult ADHD diagnostic assessments

Demonstrable experience conducting adult Autism diagnostic assessments
-
Strong diagnostic formulation, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills
-
Confidence working independently in a remote service environment
-
Ability to work to agreed turnaround times and clinical governance standards

Willingness to contribute to service quality processes (audit/peer review/supervision)

If a counselling psychologist or educational psychologist, you should have the appropriate additional training
Desirable (Not Essential)

Experience in child autism assessments

Experience in child adhd assessments

Experience in private practice or high-volume diagnostic services

Additional neurodevelopmental training (e.g., ADOS-2/ADI-R or equivalent pathways, where applicable)
Working Pattern

Full-time (typically 37.5 hours/week)

Remote clinical delivery with agreed clinic sessions

Some evening availability may be required to meet patient demand (specific pattern agreed at offer stage)
