Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Male Assessment & Treatment Forensic Inpatient Mental Health Service for a band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our established and dynamic team. The post will be based on Ward 2 at the Newsam Centre. The Newsam Centre has a wealth of resources, including a range of therapy rooms, to support the work of the Occupational Therapy Team. The post is advertised for 37.5 full time hours per week. 

We are looking for an individual who is:

           Enthusiastic about occupation and its role in mental health.
           Able and willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
           Passionate about working with this client group.
           Able to work within a team.
           Support to the wider occupational therapy team and the MDT.
