Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, forward-thinking Administrator. The position will be within the Nursing & Quality Directorate, Physical health and Professional practice portfolio based at Trust Headquarters in Walton Summit Preston.

Main duties of the job

To provide administrative support within the physical health and professional practice portfolio of services to include but not limited to IPC, Physical Health, Seasonal vaccination service and CPD, in the delivery of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative/secretarial service that promotes excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.  The post holder will be expected to work independently using their own initiative with minimal direct supervision. 

To contribute to the collection and monitoring of accurate and meaningful clinical information, producing regular reports and analysing data to proactively support the identification of issues and areas for improvement.

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • NVQ/Diploma level III in administration or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent to evidence competence in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience in generating reports and documents including supporting meetings through agenda’s and minute taking.
  • Demonstrable experience of working effectively in a high performing office environment undertaking a range of administration duties.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Proven ability to produce well-presented clear and accurate documents.
  • Proven ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all grades of staff both verbally and in writing.
