Berkshire Healthcare are seeking an organised and motivated person for a Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist role in East Berkshire.
Be part of our dynamic and exciting band 5 Physiotherapy rotation. You will rotate through the Inpatient wards and the Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre across East Berkshire. The rotations are 6 months long and they will give you opportunity to develop your rehabilitation, discharge planning and MDT working skills on the wards and grow your clinic skills working with patients facing frailty. We run falls clinics and exercise classes for a range of patients, expanding your knowledge around community services and how we can keep our aging population safe and well. We offer excellent In-service training, including one to one clinical development on each rotation participating in a robust teaching programme. Alongside this you will receive peer and management support as well as other development opportunities.

You will enhance your clinical and managerial skills working on the inpatient wards or clinic setting with support from local teams

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The “must haves” for this role:

To work as a rotational physiotherapist to provide a high quality, responsive physiotherapy service within the community, inpatients and Assessment and Rehabilitation departments across East Berkshire

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and caseload management

To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner working with appropriate supervision

Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- HCPC Registered
Desirable criteria
- CSP Membership
Continue Professional Development
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of relevant ongoing CPD where appropriate e.g. maintained in a portfolio; attendance at postgraduate courses; informal learning or evidence of reflective learning
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Have covered a broad spectrum of undergraduate placements and worked collaboratively within and MDT
Desirable criteria
- Experience and good understanding of the NHS
- Previous experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Ability to work independently and flexibly
- Efficient, effective, and diplomatic communication skills both written and verbal
- Evidence of good computer literacy
- Evidence of good time management and prioritisation skills
Desirable criteria
- Understanding the importance of audit and research/ use of Quality Improvement/ Service improvement
Additional Requirements
Essential criteria
- Ability to travel to multiple sites and has access to a car with full UK driving licence
