ADHD Psychiatrist

We are seeking an experienced UK-registered psychiatrist to join our remote neurodevelopmental service delivering ADHD assessments with Adults and Children

Remote (UK-based)
(Assessments conducted online)
 

Hours

Sessional / flexible work. Regular weekly availability is preferred, though we can accommodate part time (minimum commitment to be agreed).
 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct high-quality Child ADHD diagnostic assessments in line with NICE guidance and relevant professional standards
  2. Complete clear, evidence-based clinical documentation within agreed timeframes
  3. Deliver structured feedback and recommendations following assessment (where applicable)
  4. Work within established clinical pathways, templates, and governance processes
  5. Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with data protection and safeguarding requirements
  6. Collaborate with admin and operations teams to ensure a smooth patient journey

Essential Requirements

  1. GMC registration with a licence to practise (UK)
  2. Demonstrable experience conducting Child ADHD diagnostic assessments
  3. Strong diagnostic formulation and clinical reasoning skills
  4. Confidence working independently in a remote service environment
  5. Ability to work to agreed turnaround times and clinical governance standards
  6. Willingness to contribute to service quality processes (audit/peer review/supervision)

Desirable (Not Essential)

  1. Experience in adult Autism assessments
  2. Experience in adult ADHD assessments
  3. Experience working in private practice or high-volume diagnostic services
  4. Experience providing MDT input or clinical leadership support
  5. Experience assessing children and young people (if applicable to service need)
