Job overview
We are recruiting for a Band 3 Homecare & Business Support Officer on a 22 months fixed term contract, working 22.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
This is an office based role focused on processing homecare prescriptions and handling homecare and procurement invoices.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Support the Senior Technician – Homecare & High cost drugs with provision of the Homecare Service to ensure a high quality, safe and efficient service is provided to patients.
Support the Pharmacy’s wider Business and Transformation team with systems to manage high cost medicines.
Provide administrative support to the Procurement & Invoicing team, if required to cover periods of absence.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 5 GCSE (or equivalent) passes at Grade C or above, to include Maths and English.
Desirable criteria
- NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy or other relevant field
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Use of windows based programs such as Word & Excel.
- Office / Admin experience – to be pro-active and be able to deal with confidential or sensitive information in an appropriate manner.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of receipting process and materials management – including stock control, delivery, ordering, invoicing. Customer care through NVQ level 3/Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPs) foundation stage or equivalent experience
- Hospital based procurement or invoicing experience.
- Use of computer based procurement or invoicing experience.
- Pharmacy I.T systems.
- Meeting preparation, writing and circulation of minutes.
