We are pleased to offer this post for a qualified Clinical Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. The post is based at Harvey House, Lancaster; which is the base for the Bay Eating Disorder Team, but the post holder will also be expected to work in the Kendal and Barrow localities.  The team is part of the All Age Eating Disorder Service which covers Lancashire and South Cumbria. You will be joining a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including psychological therapists, systemic family therapist, specialist mental health nurses, specialist dietitian and medical professionals. 

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop skills and knowledge in the area of eating disorders. An interest in acquiring skills in NICE guidelines recommended treatments for eating disorders would be important. A good grounding in CBT is expected and training can be provided for more specialist interventions. 

The role will involve delivery of high quality assessments, formulation and specialist interventions to people from all age groups who have an eating disorder. Alongside other duties, the role will also involve providing psychologically informed guidance to other practitioners, provision of consultation, training, supervision and service development.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

•    To provide high quality psychological therapy to adults and also children and young people who present with an eating disorder, including those with a degree of complexity. 
•    To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including specialist nurses, psychologists/ psychological therapists, specialist GP/ medics and dietitians.
•    To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure.
•    To provide clinical supervision and mentoring to other members of the MDT as required.  
•    To provide psychological therapies for eating disorders in accordance with the evidence base in both 1:1 and group formats.
•    To deliver a psychological therapies in accordance with NICE guidelines, meeting key performance indicators and agreed activity levels.  
•    To provide advice and consultation on clients’ care, to colleagues and to non-professional carers. 
•    To utilise research skills for audit policy and service development and research within the areas served by the team.
•    To work with the Team Leaders and Senior Clinical Psychologists/Lead Clinicians to support managing waiting times, prevalence and recovery. 
•    To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
