Main duties of the job

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST5+) post at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust at the Barnet site.  This post is a fixed term f2 month Trust doctor post. Previous working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is essential and NHS experience preferable.

Working for our organisation

Applications are invited for the above post on the Barnet Site. The senior clinical fellow post is suited to Registrars at level ST5-7 who need more routine O&G experience. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the on-call rota.

This post has been created to provide senior on call cover on the middle grade rota and to give an opportunity to the successful candidate to develop experience and confidence in working at senior level.

Person specification

Education & professional qualifications

Essential criteria
  • MBBS (or equivalent)
  • Current full GMC Registration
  • MRCOG Pt 1
  • MRCOG Pt 2
Desirable criteria
  • CCT

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous O&G experience at ST 5-7 level or comparable in the NHS
  • Ability to manage a busy LW

Skills and aptitudes

Desirable criteria
  • Recent ALSO / MOET course attendance (within 3yrs)
  • Completion of CTG K2 package (within last 2yrs)
  • Completion of O&G Audit (within last 2yrs)

Personal Qualities and attributes

Essential criteria
  • Effective team working
  • Good command of English language written and spoken

Other

Essential criteria
  • Recent experience of working in a comparably busy O&G unit (within 12mths)
Desirable criteria
  • Track record of commitment to teaching and training
