Senior Physiotherapist - Cardio Respiratory Outpatients (CROP)

  • Relocate to New Zealand

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Physiotherapist to work as a Senior Physiotherapist within Cardiorespiratory Outpatients. This role is based at Greenlane Clinical Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, and is a permanent, part-time to full-time position (0.8-1.0 FTE, or 32-40 hours per week) depending on candidate preference.

Our service supports hospital speciality clinics and services such as cardiology, respiratory, and heart and lung transplant, and we also support those referred from General Practices within the Auckland catchment area.

This key role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist open to relocating to New Zealand.

You'll develop your leadership capabilities and advance your skills in:

  • implementing evidence-based practice and service development
  • motivating, guiding, and developing junior staff and physiotherapy students
  • clinical expertise and leadership.

The duties of the role include:

  • managing a clinical caseload while supporting the day-to-day coordination and leadership of a team of approximately six physiotherapists
  • the opportunity to play an active role in quality improvement and staff and service development
  • working collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary, bicultural environment
  • supporting the equity of health outcomes by incorporating processes into practice that reduce inequities
  • providing preceptorship to static and rotational staff
  • participating in our weekend and on-call roster.

About the team

Our team is made up of passionate and supportive physiotherapists who are motivated to improve the quality of life and health outcomes of the communities we serve.

Our Cardiorespiratory Outpatient team is made of up six physiotherapists - an Advanced Clinician, one senior, three static physiotherapists, and one rotational.

Our wider Physiotherapy team consists of 94 FTE, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

About you

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Registration as a Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Six or more years postgraduate experience, with two or more years experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence-informed practice
  • A flexible, proactive, and can-do approach
  • Experience supporting staff and students
  • Evidence of establishing and developing working relationships within a wider multidisciplinary team
  • Effective time management, prioritisation, and organisation skills
