eCARE Senior Development Analyst (Maternity Cover)

The IT Department at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic, ever-developing, forward-thinking group of people that make up a team that strives to keep the Trust’s systems up to date and responsive to cutting edge technologies, whilst ensuring staff at the Trust are supported to continue to deliver at the highest level.
We currently have a temporary opening for the eCARE Senior Development Analyst, to design, develop, build and configure new deployments and eCARE application (Oracle Cerner Millennium) system upgrades. Develop test scripts, peer review test scripts, test the eCARE applications (Oracle Cerner Millennium), interfaces and peripherals contributing to the overall testing & quality of applications.
You will have experience working in a healthcare environment, including application build configuration, application testing (functional, system & integration) and have experience in Oracle Health (Oracle Cerner Millennium) solutions.

• The aim of this role is to manage the technical framework used by the eCARE and Back Office teams on an on-going basis under the management of eCARE Development Manager.
• Responsible for the provision of expert level IT and eCARE technical and development services to the Trust. Areas of responsibility include, but not limited to, support of the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (eCARE) System and its optimisation.
• Ensure that a consistent and quality eCARE technical support service is provided to all users, this may require the identification and resolution of complex problems with the support of eCARE Development Manager.
• Contribute towards delivering new functionality and optimising the existing functionality; this may require working with the IT Back Office or end users to identify and resolve complex problems.

The post holder will provide specialist configuration and system management services to all Trust staff under the guidance of the eCARE Development Manager. In this capacity the post holder will be responsible for all the activities associated with the development of the eCARE System in accordance with established policies and procedures. This will include but not be limited to the following activities;
• Manage eCARE development project plans through the development project life cycle to include both technical and non-technical work streams under the right supervision.
• Support and develop the eCARE System. This system is mission critical to the business.
• Develop test scripts under the direction of the eCARE Development Manager to validate any system modifications and upgrades that will be released to the organisation as and when required.
• Develop, build, configure, and test any new deployments and system upgrades under the direction of the eCARE Development Manager. This will include building new functions, optimising an existing one… etc and producing test scripts to validate processes with the end users. These scripts will be used to sign off the local build and configuration of the system.
• As directed by the eCARE Development Manager deliver new projects and eCARE solutions. The post holder will plan, design, and be responsible for configuration and deployment any solutions and work with the supplier SME independently when required.
