Job overview
Ealing CAMHS is looking for 0.8 WTE Speciality Doctor to join our friendly, supportive, and experienced multi-disciplinary specialist mental health service within our Neurodevelopmental Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and innovative clinician who can help take a leading role within our services using a creative and dynamic approach. We are looking for clinicians who are able to maintain clinical curiosity and engage in reflective practice as well as be able to be an advocate for children, young people and families' needs. We hope the successful candidate would support and implement our commitments to staff wellbeing, manageable job plans and giving staff the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge further whilst in role.

Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Desirable criteria
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Additional clinical qualifications
Eligibility
Essential criteria
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment
- Good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
- Minimum 12 years’ experience post qualification and at least 6 of those in the specialty (psychiatry)
Clinical knowledge
Essential criteria
- Excellent clinical skills in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders with or without mental health comorbidities in children and adolescents
- Training and experience on neurodevelopmental assessments: specialist autism assessments (eg. ADOS-2, 3DI, ADI-R or equivalent), ADHD and tic disorders assessments
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
- Excellent knowledge in speciality
Desirable criteria
- Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
- Knowledge and experience in psychopharmacology as applicable to CAMHS
- Experience in a variety of therapies
Academic skills and lifelong Learning
Essential criteria
- Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training
- Excellent written and oral communication skills or willing to undertake training to improve this
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
