Job overview
Applications are invited for a Consultant with a special interest in mitochondrial diseases, to join the NHS Highly Specialised Service for Rare Mitochondrial Diseases at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT). We are looking for an enthusiastic clinical consultant colleague to join a well-established group of colleagues from paediatrics, clinical genetics, adult neurology and other disciplines. The post will include providing liaison for the nationally commissioned Highly Specialised Service in Mitochondrial Diseases, and it will deliver a twice monthly face-to-face multi-disciplinary team (MDT) clinic, monthly virtual clinic, and twice monthly MDT as well as in-patient reviews as required. While this is a clinical post, there are ample opportunities to participate and develop interests in teaching and academic work in this large University Hospitals Trust.
