Job overview
Berkshire Healthcare are seeking a compassionate, proactive and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistants to support our friendly Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy team. If you thrive on variety and the opportunity to work with multiple people, this is a role you should consider as you may need to travel to other sites when the need arises; you will receive generous mileage allowance to facilitate this element of the role.
We are looking for a caring, empathetic, and approachable team player, ideally with sports/exercise or healthcare experience. You will help to deliver high-quality rehabilitation for a diverse patient population, including exercise and manual therapy techniques on both a one-to-one and group basis. You will receive comprehensive in-house training, ongoing competency support, and mentoring to help you build confidence and thrive in the role. You will also have non-clinical responsibilities to facilitate smooth running of the service.
You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Assistants, and Admin staff, all working together to help patients recover, rebuild, and return to doing what they love.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who can contribute to the positive culture of our team, engage with staff and patients respectfully, and conduct their work in a professional manner. The role will encompass:
Assisting the Physiotherapists and Osteopaths in the delivery of high quality, effective care. This includes group and 1:1 based rehabilitation provision following an assessment by a clinician.
Assisting in administrative duties, including reception cover, data entry, audits, and patient record management.
Keeping equipment clean, safe, and stocked in line with infection control standards
Assisting the Team Leads to ensure stock and equipment levels are maintained and re-ordered on a regular basis and that equipment is well maintained and clean.
Participating in service wide quality improvement, research and education initiatives where appropriate.

- Educated to GCSE level, passes in Maths and English/equivalent qualifications or relevant experience

- Basic Knowledge of Human Anatomy
- NVQ 2 or equivalent
