Trosolwg o'r swydd

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.

Please see below for detailed job description of the role.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

We are looking for a caring, organised and proactive Housekeeper to join our Teenage & Young Adult (TYA) team. This is a key role within the ward, helping to create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for young people receiving cancer and haematology treatment. Working alongside Nurses, Doctors, Allied Health Professionals, domestics and catering teams, you will support the smooth day to day running of the ward, ensuring patients and their families have the best possible experience during their stay.

As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate a range of non-clinical services, including maintaining ward cleanliness, managing stock and equipment, supporting food and beverage services, and ensuring patient areas remain safe, comfortable and well organised. Your contribution allows clinical staff to focus on delivering high quality patient care while helping to uphold the Trust's standards for cleanliness, safety and patient experience.

The post holder will report to the Ward Manager and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team across Cancer Care to support the delivery of compassionate, high quality care to teenagers and young adults.

We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalising your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.

At UHS, we’re committed to providing a flexible working environment where possible. Whether you are balancing family, study, or your wellbeing with your career, we want to support you so you can help our patients.

At UHS, we proudly champion individuality, recognising that outstanding care is only possible with a diverse, inclusive team. We’re committed to creating an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory environment where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to make a meaningful impact in our communities. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences to join us in building a healthcare community where everyone can belong, thrive, and contribute.
