An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join the newly combined Harrogate & Ripon Community Treatment Team based in Harrogate
As a Band 5 Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health care within a multidisciplinary team, supporting service users and their families across the Harrogate and Ripon District.
Whether you're an experienced Registered Nurse or a Newly Registered Nurse, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that puts patient care first. You will have the time and support to make a real difference every day.
Student Nurse's that are due to register in the next 3 months are very welcome to apply. Full training and Preceptorship programme will be provided to help you build confidence and develop your career in this specialist area.

The successful postholder will deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused care to individuals experiencing early psychosis.
You will undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and contribute to care planning, along with supporting physical health monitoring and promote wellbeing.
In addition to this, the postholder will work collaboratively with carers, families, and partner agencies.
You will contribute to risk assessment and risk management planning
You will participate in psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions under supervision.
You will maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with Trust policies, and engage in team meetings, supervision, and continuous professional development.

- Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council RNMH or RNLD (RNSC – CAMHS only ) – RGN (If appropriate)
- To be recognised practice supervisor or work towards in an agreed timescale
- Trained Clinical Supervisor or work towards in an agreed timescale
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Experience

- Working with people with mental ill health / learning disabilities
- Working in a person centred therapeutic organisation
- Working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Working in partnership with other agencies
Knowledge

- Evidence based knowledge of best practice in caring for patients in the designated field.
- understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act)
- Understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice
- Clinical Risk Assessment and Management and its application in practice
- clinical Governance and its application in practice.
- Confident working knowledge of clinical medicines management, including administration of injections
