An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated pharmacist to join the Women's and Neonatal Pharmacy Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

This Lead Specialist Neonatal Pharmacist post has been created as part of a wider service transformation programme, aimed at delivering an outstanding pharmacy service for neonatal patients in line with NHS England service specifications for neonatal care.

As the Lead Neonatal Pharmacist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services, ensuring the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of medicines within this complex and high-risk specialty. Working closely with the Senior Lead Pharmacist for Women's and Neonatal Services, multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders, you will contribute to service development, champion excellence in clinical practice, and build your expertise in neonatal care.

The post also includes deputising for the Senior Lead Pharmacist for Women's and Neonatal Services when required. This will involve supporting the leadership and delivery of pharmacy services across both neonatal and women's health specialties.

This role is ideally suited to a pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in neonatology, paediatrics and/or women's health, who is passionate about developing specialist expertise and contributing to the advancement of high-quality patient care within these services.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

• To lead on clinical pharmacy services for patients within the Neonatal service, part of the Women's and Neonatal Pharmacy service.
• To actively contribute to the management of drug expenditure through regular analysis and reporting; to monitor and audit the use of high cost / PBR excluded drugs within neonates.
• To actively support medicines management requirements of the Neonatal service, including the provision of education and training to members of the multi-disciplinary team.
• To support, develop and monitor the progress of pharmacy staff within the speciality.
• To actively contribute to the development, monitoring and integration of written policies/guidelines and procedures covering all aspects of pharmaceutical care within women and neonates. 
• To provide a comprehensive ward pharmacy service within the Women and Neonatal (W+N) service and to train other pharmacists in this specialty.
