Are you an enthusiastic and motivated, customer-focused Service Desk Engineer? IT Services at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit to their busy team based at Willerby Hill.

Working 37.5 hours a week between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, the successful candidate will provide the first point of contact for all IT-related incidents and service requests. The majority of support is provided remotely, with an element of in-person support for customers who bring equipment to the department.

The post also offers opportunities to join our Out of Hours rota.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior Service Desk experience, with a minimum of 1 year.
  • The ability to provide excellent IT support for Microsoft software, with an emphasis on Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both in writing, verbally, and in person.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to write technical documentation for the Service Desk Knowledge Base.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to work in a busy, pressurised environment.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, advanced European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent knowledge.
  • Knowledge of some IT work procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of one or more computer system(s), hardware or software, or telephony systems acquired through diploma or equivalent experience.
  • An understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to the relevant service area.

  • Recognised professional IT qualification e.g. Microsoft MCP, MTA, Cisco CCENT, CompTIA
  • Knowledge of a range of IT work procedures and practices

Experience
