Job overview
We are looking to recruit a Head of Network Performance for our dynamic and respected Performance team.
The post holder will lead the Network Performance function, with responsibility for developing a coherent strategy for performance and information monitoring, reporting, and improvement at network level across the Trust.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Trust's Director for Performance to ensure that performance monitoring and management across the Trust fulfils statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements.
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the Network Performance function, ensuring that there are robust measures in place to monitor, report and manage performance across all aspects of the business whilst also responding to the data, information and insight demands of the Trust. The post will require the development of effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals internal and external to the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Network Performance is the Trust’s senior lead and accountable to the Director of Performance for the development, implementation and oversight of a comprehensive and integrated performance management framework. The post holder will provide expert strategic leadership to ensure the organisation meets national, contractual and locally agreed performance standards.
This role has a trust wide responsibility for performance systems, reporting, assurance processes and the development of robust performance governance. The post holder will support the Executive Team, Board Committees, Locality Networks and corporate services to deliver sustained and measurable improvements in quality, operational standards and productivity.
The post holder is a key advisor to the Trust on national performance policy, regulatory expectations and external assurance requirements, ensuring the Trust maintains compliance and a positive reputation with commissioners, regulators and system partners.

- Masters level qualification or equivalent senior level experience in performance, strategy, analytics or operational leadership. Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to performance management

- Excellent appreciation of performance improvement and implement with the NHS
- Awareness of the external environment, including national and regional strategies and priorities and the political agenda
Experience

- Experience at a senior management level, in particulart related to performance management
- Working in a large, complex and diverse service, including exposure to solving a range of operational and strategic problems involving HR and finance
- Negotiating on complex matters of critical organisational importance with directors and senior managers
