Job overview

As part of the implementation of a new leadership structure across the organisation, a number of exciting leadership opportunities have become available.

We are seeking to appoint candidates to the following posts within the Community & Specialist Services Care Group, across the leadership clusters listed below:

IDD Services Leadership Cluster, within the Specialist Services Care Unit.

These roles will play a key part in shaping and delivering high-quality services within our newly established leadership arrangements.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Patient Safety, Quality & Experience will provide senior leadership and oversight for the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across specified Services.  Head of Patient Safety, Quality & Experience will ensure that governance systems are robust, that learning from incidents, complaints and feedback is embedded, and that a culture of continuous improvement, openness and just culture is promoted.

A critical component of this role is the implementation, oversight and sustainability of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). The post-holder will ensure PSIRF principles are embedded in everyday practice across the Service, supporting system-wide learning and improvement rather than blame, and ensuring timely, proportionate, and effective incident responses.

Working in partnership with the Head of Operations, the post-holder will be jointly responsible for ensuring Services are safe, effective, and of high quality on a day-to-day basis. They will provide professional advice, leadership and constructive challenge to the Senior Leadership Team, Wider Leadership Team and Clinical & Operational Leadership Team regarding patient safety, quality and experience.
