We have an exciting opportunity for a professional individual to join our busy and varied Medicine Secretarial Team, based within the Cardiology Department. We are looking for a Medical Secretary to complement our current Cardiology Secretarial Team and we would love to hear from you if you have the necessary qualities and administrative experience to fulfil this role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To provide a professional and efficient provision of secretarial/administrative services for Consultants and their teams within our Cardiology Department. The post holder will be responsible for provision of a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties, including audio transcription and word processing of clinical letters, reports. patient tracking and other correspondence as required by the Cardiology Team.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RSA Level 3 typing or relevant proven experience
  • AMSPAR medical secretarial qualification or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Customer care
  • ECDL
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Medical Secretarial experience
  • Knowledge of PAS system

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Secretarial experience
  • Relevant Audio typing experience
  • Be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Windows Packages, including Word
