Employer heading
Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Band 6
Job overview
Join our innovative and passionate Speech and Language Therapy team and make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to further develop their specialist clinical skills within a supportive, forward-thinking service. If you have significant experience working in Adult Learning Disabilities (ALD) and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), we would love to hear from you.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language therapist to work within our Greenwich Community learning disability team (CLDT). You will work as part of the CLDT, delivering high quality care as part of a multi-disciplinary service to adults with learning disabilities and their carers. We have close links across the directorate SaLTs teams offering the opportunities for specific client and project work in other boroughs (Bexley and Bromley.)
Main duties of the job
You will be working alongside other Band 6 and 7 SaLTs in the Directorate, supported by the Professional Lead, to implement creative, evidence based and efficient approaches to service delivery.
The Directorate SaLT service is well respected for being innovative, evidence based and person centred. We have a robust supervision and PDR process and are keen to support continuing personal development. We encourage the development of special interests and meet regularly as a SaLT service to share skills and knowledge.
