Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neurology Department at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust for a Locum Consultant Neurologist for a fixed period of 12 months.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated clinician who will play a key role within our dynamic and supportive Neurology team, working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider Trust.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will contribute to a mixture of outpatient clinics and inpatient ward cover, helping us deliver high quality, patient centred neurological care. The post holder will join a well established team comprising six Consultants, two SpRs, and two Clinical Nurse Specialists, all committed to excellence, innovation, and multidisciplinary working.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full registration and a license to practice with the GMC
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP or FRCP or equivalent qualification
Desirable criteria
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Neurology
Experience
Essential criteria
- Broad experience in general neurology
- Significant evidence of experience in clinical leadership
- Wide experience of General Internal Medicine including multidisciplinary team working
Desirable criteria
- Out of programme management experience (e.g. Deanery secondment)
- Subspecialty interest in associated medical speciality

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
