We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. The Neonatal intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the University Hospital Southampton has recently undergone an expansion, so it is an exciting time to join the team. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic person who embraces change and welcomes new opportunities.
You will work as part of a team looking after the Wessex Region's most complex neonates and will be supported to do this by working alongside a highly skilled team whilst working collaboratively with families encompassing Family Integrated Care.

UHS NICU is a cardiac and surgical centre which takes referrals from across the Wessex Region and works collaboratively with regional maternity services to ensure NHS England's 'Better Birth's' agenda is adhered to.
We are fortunate to have many exciting teams within NICU including the regional transport service (SONET), family support and psychology team, surgical specialist nurses amongst many other expert sub teams. This ensures the bedside nurses are well supported to be able to facilitate the best patient care to our vulnerable neonatal.

You will work within the ITU environment to deliver high quality family centred patient care. Part of the role will include line management and you will be allocated a team to suport and complete appraisals. There will be a robust orientation and induction programme for external candidates.
