That means being a provider of excellent patient safety, known for delivering consistently high standards of harm-free care and always caring for patients in the right place at the right time. It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.

Barts Health supports the Pregnancy Loss Pledge and commits to supporting their staff through the distress of miscarriage.

We are dedicated to being an outstanding place to work and will work with you to get the best experience. We know flexible working is not a one size fits all and will mean something different to everyone. We are inclusive, so if you are interested in flexible working, please speak to the recruiting manager.

Job overview

Barts Health is looking to recruit into the role of Data Quality Correction, a dynamic, highly motivated and conscientious individual who is able to work on their own initiative. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, together with attention to detail. The post holder must be flexible with their approach to decision making and problem solving. This post requires an enthusiastic, adaptable and committed person.

This is a very exciting role that will support the Data Quality agenda for the Trust through the intervention of Data Quality campaigns within the clinical specialities working closely with front end users to resolve any data quality errors in EPR.

The contractual base for the role is Canary Wharf, however the role may require working at operational sites (Royal London Hospital, Mile End Hospital, Newham Hospital, St Barts Hospital & Whipps Cross Hospital).

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is passionate about Data Quality and would like to develop their skills whilst supporting one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country. The role will provide opportunities to work with senior leaders, clinicians and supporting projects for local and national initiatives in line with the Trust Data Quality Mission and the National Data Quality Principles.

Main duties of the job

Provides ongoing admin support to the management team to help resolve day to day problems independently and to act as the first point of contact for enquiries from stakeholders.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the patient administration system contains accurate information, ranging from the validation of pathways, to ensuring the accuracy of demographic data, accurate commissioning information and assisting operational efficiency measures.

Data Quality (DQ) issues will be raised on the Trusts Alemba system, this system will be routinely monitored by the post holder to ensure that all DQ issues are appropriately acted upon.

The post-holder will utilise the Trust’s Patient Tracking List (PTL), Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and Trust Service desk queue (Alemba) to identify and validate a patient pathway. This involves actively validating patient data on admitted and non-admitted care pathways to support the Trust in achieving the national RTT and Data Quality performance targets.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that any newly identified data quality issues are highlighted to their manager and any potential RTT breaches are escalated appropriately to enable pathways to be proactively managed and resolved prior to any potential breach.

Post-holders must be able to supply their own PC/Laptop if/when working remotely.
