Head of Financial Recovery PMO

Band 8b

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at UHN for an experienced, dynamic, qualified accountant to join the Corporate Reporting Team.

Working with the wider financial and operational teams, the post holder will be responsible for monitoring and reporting the position for the Financial Recovery Programme. Providing support and guidance across all areas to identify, implement and monitor schemes requires the ability to effectively communicate across a wide variety of staff groups and financial knowledge.

This is a new role within the recently reviewed team structure,  delivering a vital service both internally within finance and to the wider staff base across both hospitals, Kettering and Northampton.

Main duties of the job

The Financial Recovery Programme has been established to coordinate, assure and accelerate delivery of the Trust’s financial recovery priorities while maintaining quality, safety, workforce and operational performance.

You will lead the Financial Recovery PMO and provide authoritative financial and programme leadership. They will coordinate the recovery portfolio on behalf of the accountable executive and programme governance, while scheme sponsors and operational leads retain accountability for delivery and the Executive Team retains overall
ownership of the Trust recovery plan.

The post holder will lead and develop the PMO function, ensuring that delivery-management systems, dashboards and reporting processes provide timely, accurate and decision focused information. They will direct the preparation of submissions, evidence packs and responses to challenge from NHS England, the relevant integrated care board and other regulators or system partners.
