Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist
Band 6
At Epsom and St Helier Hospitals, above all we value respect. We put respect at the heart of all we do, by living up to our shared behaviours of kindness, professionalism, positivity and teamwork. This enables us to provide great patient care and make ESTH a great place to work. When you sign up to work with us, you sign up to this and we welcome applicants who share our values.
Job overview
We are seeking 3 motivated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapists to join our friendly and supportive Children's Speech and Language Therapy team on a 5-month fixed-term basis. These additional posts have been created to increase clinical capacity, reduce waiting times and improve access to assessment and intervention for children in Sutton.
You will manage a varied paediatric caseload, carrying out assessments, delivering individual and group therapy, writing reports and working closely with families and multidisciplinary colleagues. The majority of the caseload will involve preschool and primary-aged children with speech, language and communication needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for therapists with experience in paediatrics who enjoy direct clinical work and want to make a tangible impact by helping children access support sooner.
In return, we offer regular clinical supervision and peer support along with the chance to work within a welcoming and experienced team committed to delivering high-quality care.
If you are organised, flexible and passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people, we would love to hear from you.
These posts are offered on a fixed-term basis as part of a transformation project to reduce wait times within the service. The funding for these roles is time-limited, and the contract will therefore be offered on a fixed-term basis. These posts will end when the fixed-term period expires (31 March 2027).

- To communicate complex clinical information in a clear and sensitive manner.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to support positive outcomes for children and families.
- To maintain accurate, timely and legally compliant clinical records.
